This course will cover a variety of compositional strategies that you can turn to whenever you aren’t sure what to write about. You’ll often be able to use them to create a draft of a poem in an hour or less. It includes:
- Access to a private forum where you can post what you write (if you choose), or discuss poetic process with others.
- A weekly Zoom meeting where you can ask questions and interact with others in real time. Calls will take place at 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM Eastern on January 3, January 11, January 17, and January 25 (alternating Saturdays and Sundays). It will be an “office hours” or Q&A format, so you’re welcome to come late or leave early. A recording will be provided for those who can’t make it.
The course will start January 3, 2026. Registration open until January 9.
You’ll have the option to upgrade to the full Intensive version (which includes detailed critiques of two poems from the instructor) at any time, including after the course.
