In this three-hour workshop led by Ana Reisens, we’ll take a detailed look at the world of literary journals and what you need to know when it comes to submitting your poetry for publication. We’ll cover what’s out there and why you should submit, how to find the best journals for your work and goals, how the submission process works, how to compile a successful manuscript and submission package, what to expect when (and after) submitting, and tricks to make the submission process as efficient, fruitful, and enjoyable as possible. The workshop will include activities and free resources to help you determine your goals to know where to send your work, write your bio and cover letter, and have everything you need so you can start submitting!
Good for both beginners (those who have yet to submit their work) or those who are looking for some tricks to make the process easier, get some additional resources, and/or refine their submission package or strategies.
